During the renovation of Terminal 2 at Shanghai Pudong International Airport, the existing protective fences with iron structure and concrete foundations suffered from corrosion and cracking issues. Erqiaoyi adopted 6063-T6 aluminum alloy frames, laid 3mm anti-climbing steel wire meshes, and integrated an intelligent monitoring system. This solution reduced the annual maintenance cost by 62%, improved the runway incursion alarm accuracy to 99.3%, and the project was awarded the "2022 China Airport Construction Innovation Award".
